Events - Our Activities
We have broadly outlined some of our past activities below. This enumeration is only indicative in nature and constitutes only a minuscule portion of the work carried out by our organization. This is a work In progress and we are working on updating the same.

January2012
Development Commenced for our New Web site.
A Newer Design and a newer platform, We are looking at serving the needs of this institution better by developing a Web Site which can facilitate our work. Work is in progress and users can look forward to exciting new features. Another 400 students are being looked after and availing the same facilities in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan in collaboration with A Little Happiness Foundation.

Web Site Launched
After spending considerable time and effort developing our website we launched the same just in time to begin registrations for the Gurmat Training Camp being held at Dawn Academy, Panchgani.

Educational Initiatives for Backward Classes
Education Aid was provided as a part of our ongoing project for uplifting the living standards of poor and downtrodden sections of the society. This activity took place under our 10 centers spread across Maharashtra and covered 450 students. Basic needs of the families were also fulfilled helping them take up education. School fees, books, uniforms, school bags, extra tuition classes etc were provided. This activity took place under our joint efforts with our sister organization Akhar-SOH (Service of Humanity). Another 400 students are being looked after and availing the same facilities in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan in collaboration with A Little Happiness Foundation.

Gurmukhi and Gurmat Training Classes at 35 Centers across Mumbai, Maharashtra and Gujarat where training to approximately 1800 students was imparted.

Youth Training Camp
The camp was held at Dawn Academy, Panchgani. 550 students attended the same. Youngsters above 14 years of age were selected to attend the camp. Training was given on various subjects including Student Life & personality development, the concept of meditation and how to meditate, Tabla and Music Training, Sikhism & its relevance in modern times, All about Mind Control, What is SevaApril-May2010

Gurmukhi and Gurmat Training Classes at around 30 Centers across Mumbai, Maharashtra and Gujarat and Karnataka where training to approximately 1600 students was imparted.

Youth Training Camp
The camp was held at Gurudwara Gupatsar Sahib, Manmad. The camp received an overwhelming response with more than 600 trainees being selected out of hundreds of applications received to attend the same. Youngsters above 14 years of age were selected to attend the camp. Training was given on various subjects including Tabla and Music Training, Spirituality & Living a ideal life, Divine Discipline and Ecology, Analyzing History in the correct prospective, Sports and More.

Seminar on 1) Inter-religious marriages and its effects 2) Sikhism the Modern religion & 3) Focus on higher education overseas
The seminar was held at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Satsang Sabha, Malad (e), Mumbai Attended by more than 750 people the seminar was very successful. The Panelist included Bhai Amrik Singh (Chandigarh) the world-famous lecturer on Sikhism Bhai Maninderpal Singh Ji from Ropar and Pprofessor K.P. Singh from Mumbai. Due to its Success the Seminar was repeated on the 12th of September 2010 at Marigold Lawns, NIWEC Club, Nashik.February2009
Seminar on Inter-religious marriages and its effects.
The seminar was held at Guru Harkishan High School, Santacruz (w) Mumbai. Attended by more than 800 people the seminar was very successful. Bibi Harjinder Kaur (ex-Mayor of Chandigarh) was among the panelist consisting of prominent citizens of Mumbai answering the queries.
